Bio

Tia MayTia D. May
Evangelist Tia May was born in Philadelphia, PA on May 28, 1976. She was raised in North Philadelphia where she graduated from William Penn High School.

At the age of 22, Tia accepted the call of God upon her life to preach the gospel and since that time she has watched and waited as the Lord molded her, taught her, challenged her and prepared her for ministry.

Tia is married to the love of her life, her college sweet heart, Derrick May Sr. Together they share a loving, lasting, God fearing and God filled marriage. Derrick and Tia have 4 beautiful, wonderful God taught and peace filled children - Aquila, Derrick Jr., Jireh and Nina. She was licensed to preach the gospel by Presiding Elder Charles Lett. She currently serves under the pastorate of Reverend Roselin Martin at Shorter A.M.E. Church, Morton, PA. where she and her family continue to serve.

Tia is the author of T.I.A. – True, Inspiring, Adoring which is a work of quality.  Tia’s desire is to do the work that the Lord has called and motivated her to do.  Since a child, Tia has desired to become a writer and she has realized that her dream of writing would be one of the ways that she would carry out her part in the body of Christ.  The personal and spiritual growth that she has endured has been miraculous.  What the Lord has done in her life is special and she can’t keep it to herself.  The Lord has blessed Tia and she wants others to know that they can be blessed also. She prays that her writing will be a blessing to all whom would read her work.

These words from Matthew Henry’s commentary on Leviticus can best describe her dedication and devotion to her family, her ministry and most of all to the Lord:

We have every one of us a charge to keep, an eternal God to glorify, an immortal soul to provide for, needful duty to be done, our generation to serve; and it must be our daily care to keep this charge, for it is the charge of the Lord our Master, who will shortly call us account about it, and it is our utmost peril if we neglect it. Keep it “that ye die not”; it is death, eternal death, to betray the trust that we are charged with; by the consideration of this we must be kept in awe.
